GLP-3 RETA (Retatrutide) is a novel triple agonist that works by simultaneously activating three different hormone receptors: the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor, glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor, and glucagon (GCG) receptor. This multi-pronged mechanism results in synergistic effects that help to regulate appetite, control blood sugar, and increase energy expenditure. 

Specific Actions:

• GLP-1 Receptor Activation: This action slows gastric emptying (rate of digestion), suppresses appetite, and enhances the pancreas's ability to secrete insulin in a glucose-dependent manner, all of which help to lower blood glucose levels and reduce calorie intake.

• GIP Receptor Activation: GIP agonism further enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion and helps improve insulin sensitivity and fat metabolism. It works alongside GLP-1 to promote satiety.

• Glucagon Receptor Activation: This unique third component, when properly balanced with the other two, increases energy expenditure (calorie burning) and promotes the breakdown of stored fat (lipolysis).
